1. I'm going to guess that it represents the countries where L.J. Smith's books are available and unavailable. Green countries have L.J. Smith books, and white ones unfortunately don't. Or it could simply be a world map, but wheres the fun in that?
2. The countries that are not highlighted in green are Mali, Guinea, Sierra Leone ,Liberia, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Mozambique, Somalia, Eritrea, French Guinea, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Laos, Papua New Guinea, and North Korea. I think that's all of them. Though Greenland and Svalbard could also be white, or light green.

Kristen I think you are right. I'll just add to Q1 and say that they are also places that Lisa has fans because if her books are there surly people are enjoying them.
As for Q2 I wouldn't have been able to come up with half of them without Google. (Sad, I know) I do think Greenland is white.

I just thought of something else for Q1 maybe the intensity of the green represents the number of book sales. For example, the dark green U.S.A sells more of Lisa's books than medium green UK and Canada which sells more than the light green countries.

Q1: Kristen, I believe you are right as well, and isn't it nice to be the first one with the idea? Everyone decides your's has to be right. Christina's answer also makes a ton of sense and I definitely believe that that could factor into it.
Q2: Kristen already found all the countries so why should I give people the same information twice? Good job Kristen!! :)

Tayler, that is so true! I could probably (and likely) be dead wrong, but hey at least I tried! :D Finding those countries were definitely not easy! Every-time I thought I had them all listed, another country would be white and I'd have to go find out what that one was. Not to mention that Africa has so many countries in it that are tiny all next to each other. :-|
By the way, my other comment was supposed to be a response to Christina. I failed. Oh well! What can I say? I'm new here! (Like literally. I just set up this account this morning.)

Kristen, you are close but not quite on Q1. As for answers to Q2, there are some countries that you've missed. Pay a close attention to 'sliver' of a county.

Q1- I'm going to re-guess that the colors represent places where they are produced/sold/a vailable most. Dark green=produced and sold most, green=produced and sold more, light green=produced and sold less, and white=poor, unfortunate people and countries who don't have L.J. Smith's books.
Q2- I think I missed Haiti, Cuba, and the Solomon Islands after zooming in till my screen requires much sideways scrolling. :)

Q1, is still not correct, but you and Christina are right about dark meaning "more" and light meaning "less." I'll give you that. ;-)

Q2, I think you just about got them all. I will have to check it myself. Not enough time right now. I'm wondering if Guestbook Guide might have time to check?? :D

As far as I can tell,Kristen has all the non-green countries. I'm going to stop looking before I go blind because my screen isn't showing much difference between the lightest green and white. :D

DING! DING! DING! DING!

Yes, that is correct! This is what we call a Google Analytic's map of visitors to this site from all over the world. It is hard to believe we have so many visitors coming in regularly from 162 countries around the world. Can you believe this?! It is just so amazing to me as an Admin but then again it does not surprise me because L. J. Smith's books transcend all boundaries.

For our Members: I am going to post the actual list of countries that visitors are coming from. You'd be really surprised to see some of these countries. See where your country of origin is ranked. HERE'S THAT MAP(Members Only): http://www.ljanesmith.net/www/forum/just-for-fun-in-forum/417-fans-across-the-world-visiting-country-list#417 >>

1. I guess the map is a world wide map and maybe is possible that the countries that are not in green are the countries where LJs books haven't arrived yet?

2. The countries in white are: Greenland, archipelago of Svalbard (Part of the Kingdom of Norway), North Korea, Bhutan, Papua New Guinea, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Eritrea, Somalia, Djibouti, Western Sahara, Mali, Niger, Chad, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cote D'ivoire, Togo, Benin, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Gabon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Mozambique, Tajikistan, Laos, North Korea. Let me know if any one is missing =D

Q2: The countries that are not highlighted in green are Greenland, Western Sahara, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cote d'ivoine, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Libiria, Niger,Benin,Tog o, Chad, Cameroon, Gabon, Central African Republic, R. Congo, Equatorial, Guinea, D.R Congo, Zambia, Mozembique, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Afghanastan, Turkeynissan and indonesia? Pardon my spelling, I know it's horrible.

Q1: Well, the map represents the world---but beyond that, I'm guessing it's all the different countries L.J. Smith's books are available in, with the U.S.A. having the most books available.

Q2: I'm guessing, in the African area: the Congo...and that's all I know. :P

I do believe the other white area, above North America, is Greenland.

I'm going to guess the dark green represents the places where LJ's books have topped best seller lists. The lighter green are the countries the books are available to in languages other than English. As for the countries in white, I couldn't name them all without looking at a labeled map which would be cheating. :D

Realmente pode ser o mapa que representa os paises onde os visitantes do site de L.J. Smith estão acessando sendo os verdes escuros com maior incidencia de acessos, e os broncos menor ou total falta de acessos.
concordo com você Kristen sobre os países!

Q1: the world map represents different countries or internal divisions of countries(such as states). physical maps commonly use colour most dramatically to show changes in elevation. A palette of green is often used to display common elevations. Dark green usually represents low lying land with lighter shades of green used for higher elevations. But in my opinion, I think the dark green shows the countries where L.J Smith's books are most popular and how far have they reached, unlike the pale green where maybe it's not very well-known.
Q2:Cuba, Greenland, Svalbard, Western Sahara, Mali, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Burkinafaso, Togo, Zambia, Mozambique, Congo(Dem. Rep. of the), Niger, Chad, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgystan, Laos, North Korea, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Island, Somali Rep, Djibouti.

1. The green is where L.J has been, visited, lived, etc. The yellow is places she wishes to visit or has yet to visit.

2. Light Green: Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, Mali,Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, DR Congo, Zambia, Mozambique, Somalia.

Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos.

North Korea. Greenland. Svalbard. Papua New Guinea.

Fun times :)
